A painful pleasure me thinks
To be satisfied? who knows
It is something outside
the self we know on the inside
Adding new dimensions
of thought and experience
needing fullfillment
demanding it-and it comes
Sometimes sitting by a river
smelling feeling hearing and
never wanting to leave
Sometimes loving someone
outside of ourselves so much
it almost hurts-
never wanting to let go
Sometimes the joy of
connectiong to a power
greater than ourselves
a peek at eternity
a glance at our maker
a feel for our exact
place in the world
