  • Titus Annaeus Duilius appears along with his slave, Laris, and moves into Aricia's former apartment, 'admiring' her taste for furniture
  • Sextus wants to give up fighting and stay with Idris - Idris persuades Sextus to fight
  • Rufio shows up at Idris's, throwing the Silure out of bed
  • Idris offers to deliver Sextus' regards to Philandros
  • Rufio and Idris leave for Philandros'
  • Philandros greets them warmly until Idris delivers Sextus' message; he tells him about his suspicions concerning Arrius
  • Sextus ponders what might happen next and ignores a possible visitor knocking at the door
  • Barak moves into Benvolio's old apartment and notices his neighbours, Felix and Hylas

  • Archelaus recommends a certain scroll to Olaf

  • Spurius gets enslaved by Anubis, the imperious kitten
  • Idris up in the pergula to collect Spurius; Rufio and Idris suffer a momentary fit of machismo
  • Sextus meets Hylas and Rufio again in a cordial reunion
  • Sextus, as is suspected, might be about to fall in love with Idris
  • All men present join the big meeting in Felix's study, the party is informed about the need to find another hideout for Eirik and Spurius, Rufio offers his villa rustica, Eirik, having received Idris' message, shows up as well
