ARTIFACTS * Found in Ur are the remains of a wonderful harp. The upright wooden beam is capped with gold with gold headed nails that secure the strings. The sounding box is edged with a mosaic in red stone, lapis lazuli and white shell. The front of it projects a splendid bull's head wrought in gold with eyes and beard of lapis lazuli.

* Found throughout Babylonia were Kudurru's - stone boundary markers upon which were inscribed details of land territories or grants of tax exemption. Incised symbols of the gods on these Kudurru's were invoked in the inscriptions to bring protection to the legal stipulations upon them.
