Come warm yourself by my fire.
Let me share with you a story...
War of the Gods.
Two of Llyr's children were Bran the Blessed and his sister Branwen.
Bran, the god of fertility, war and of the dead, was beautiful and tremendously strong.
But he was a hearty god, and was also the patron of musicians, minstrals and bards.
He lived under the sea, where his cauldron of regeneration boiled, restoring life to dead heroes.
When Branwen made an unhappy marriage to the Irish King, Matholwych, she appealed to her brother for help, and Bran waded straight away across the Irish Sea to help.
In the wars that followed, his army crossed rivers by marching along his back, while he stretched himself from bank to bank.
Branwens son was killed when he was thrown into the fire, by an evil uncle at a feast; broken hearted at the loss of her son and of the carnage taking place because of her, Branwen died.
Soon after, Bran was wounded fatally, by a poisened arrow.
He told his surviving companions to cut off his head and to carry it with them where ever they went.
Carrying the head, Bran's companions entered paradise; the head still lived, providing for all their needs, entertaining them, and presiding over rich banquets.
It promised them a good life forever, on the condition that they did not open a forbidden door.
After four score (1 score = 20)years Bran's people yielded to temptation and opened the door; immediatly, they were in the world of reality with all it's sorrows and wars.
