The Palestra
The palestra is basically the facilities for the athletes. Similar to your local sports club. It held bathing rooms, powder rooms, oiling rooms, a common room for the athletes to socialise and practice/training rooms for each event.
They served to offer the athletes vital practice time during bad weather and occasionally were used for competition.

greek flag using HTML tables, May 14, 2005 - 20:30
The whole of the flag is made up using HTML. This will only work where the flag is in blocks of color. French, Italian, etc... Any other flags with stars could be used but would have to upload the star as a seperate graphic and then use it as a background color. The beauty of this is that you don\'t have to upload a graphic and it doesn\'t take up precious room in your gallery. :-D
