It is a matter of pride in my family to allow the females to be educated, and I have been taught to read, write, calculate maths, watch the stars, and even more dangerously, to think.
Visitors from many lands and caravans come to call at my father's house, and the wonders of the world never cease to amaze me. Perhaps some day, I shall use what I have learned to become something other than an ornament in another man's house. There is such a restless place in my spirit.
