Welcome to My Domus Interioris

Here I conduct my social activities at AncientWorlds and at Rome. You can leave me a message on my personal message board or take a look at my friends list. Soon you will be able to check my calendar of events as well.

The House

My family lives in a stone house, that consists of only one room. Although we are not poor, the only room is our sitting-room, bedroom, kitchen and dining-room.

The Dinner

Normally, our dinner is simple: cakes, vegetables, a glas of wine and some fruit. We eat only meat on special occasions.

The Family Gods

We share our food with the penates, our domestic gods. They are kind spirits who keep an eye with the larder, and they are members of our family. We offer also food to Vesta, who protects the domestic people and the hearth.

There are also other family gods, and the most important among them are Vesta and Janus. Janus is the gatekeeper. We offer the gods honey, cheese, and milk.

When I am going on my fields in the spring, I pray to Terminus, who watches the borders of my farm, and to Seia, who looks after the seedcorn in the soil. In the summer when the corn is growing, I pray to Flora, who takes care of the spikes of corn. Later, when the corn is ripe, I pray to Runcina, who watches the harvest, and to Tutilina, who provide safe storage in the barn.
