Welcome to The Emporium of Alexandria! I am Pothinus the proprietor of this fine establishment.
Here in my shop you will find on display many fascinating and exotic goods which I have umm..."acquired" during my journies in the Two Lands.
Come let me show you around! I am sure something will catch your eye.
Here is a unique item:

Winking Eye of Horus
This powerful symbol represents the eye lost by the god Horus in his battle to avenge the death of his father, Osiris. Seth caused the loss of this eye, which was later restored by Isis. This eye was often refered to as the Wadjet or "Healthy Eye" and was often used as an amulet of protection.
Here is something that every respectable citizen of Egypt needs:

A Finely Crafted Coffin
During time of great prosperity Egyptian nobles were interred in fine coffins. The most extravagant caskets were made of wood and decorated with precious gems and gold leaf.
Ah! Here is a beautiful item. Wouldn't this look nice in your home?

Golden Statue of Isis
Isis is the most enduring and beloved goddess of Egypt. She is credited with bring civilization to the Two Lands along with her husband Osiris. Isis is the goddess of magic, fertility, marriage and protection.
Wait till you see this next item! Wouldn't this look striking on the wall of your tomb?

Relief of Anubis
Anubis presides over the embalming rituals of the Egyptians. Prayers are offered to the jackal-headed god on behalf of deceased Egyptians for a safe journey to the afterlife.
Hopefully you found something nice to purchase from my shop. Before you go allow me to point out that the services provided be The Emporium are not limited to artwork. We also hire out house servants to tend to your needs. Take a look at some of the fine men and women just waiting to take up residence in your home:

This is Nakht the Fanbearer. He recently lost his job when his former mistress expired from a nasty snake bite. Take him home and enjoy the cool breeze of his fluffy white feathers!

Tem is a beautiful young musician from Bastet. Her lovely melodies were a big hit in her hometown, especially among the feline residents. A cacophony of yowls could be heard with each gentle pluck of a string! Take her home and enjoy her tunes.

Have a penchant for the games? Are you a Roman living in the Nile Valley? Why not take home your very own gladiator? Minimus comes to us directly from Rome where he and his partner Particus tore up the arenas with their martial skills. Minimus and Particus were tag-team champs until Particus joined the slave rebellion and disappeared. Minimus is still looking for him. He just knows that he’ll find Particus hanging around somewhere!
Well that is all I have to offer today. Please stop back often as my inventory changes every few weeks.
Hope you enjoyed shopping at The Emporium! Please be sure to tell your friends about us! Good bye!
