Welcome
Valinor
A place to rant and rave about one of the most beloved English speaking writers since Shakespeare: J.R.R. Tolkien. A place to talk and discuss the bringing to life of this man's vision by Peter Jackson and his New Zealand myth generating crew.

You are an Eldar.

Among the Elves are two major groups blended between the three Elven clans; the Eldar and the Avari. In all groups are some of all three clans save the Vanyar. Everyone of the Vanyar Elves reached Valinor. Those of the Elves who were willing to leave the starlit shores and try to reach Valinor in the first great journey from Cuivinien are counted among the Eldar, those who left Cùivinien but never came across the sundering sea are the Teleri but are still among the Eldar and the rest who were unwilling to leave Cùivinien are largely counted as Avari

The Eldar lines first prince was Ingwë, Finwë and Elwë who Orome chosed to bring to Valinor to see the light and glory of the valar city Valimar. After there return to Cuivinien all of Ingwe and most of Finwe and Elwe`s people agreed to head for Valinor. Those are called Eldar or Kalaquendi. The first who left was Ingwe`s people Vanjar, then came Noldor, Finwes people and last Teleri lead by Elwe and his brother Olwe. Many Teleri Elves turned of or left the trail to live in the forest or by the sea, those Elves became the Umanjar Elves After many years of travelling they reach the border of Middleearth near river Anduin and Hithaeglir mauntains. Noldor and Vanjar crossed the river and mauntains but Teleri wantet to stay for a while by the brinks of Anduin. One of the Teleri Elves,Lenwe, then lead a large group of Elves south, down the river but his son Denethor later brought some of this people to Beleriand and they is called the Nandor-Elves. Elwe then lead the rest of the Teleri Elves across Misty mauntains and Eriador heading Valinor.

The Eldar Elves are called Kalaquendi / Lightelves because they travelled to Valinor and saw Telperion and Laurelin who lightend up Aman.
