Between the Rivers: Religion in Ancient Mesopotamia
This group is dedicated to discussing the religious beliefs of the ancient peoples who lived in Mesopotamia and Persia.

In Mesopotamian society, the dubsar, or scribe held an important role. They learned and taught others how to read and write cuneiform in Mesopotamian schools, the edubba. Dubsars were in charge of writing down, not only history, but the words of the Gods.
