Between the Rivers: Religion in Ancient Mesopotamia
This group is dedicated to discussing the religious beliefs of the ancient peoples who lived in Mesopotamia and Persia.

In Mesopotamia, the word \"Apil\" may have many different meanings, most of them are basically the same, however. The most common translation is \"heir\". So, ApilSin means \"Heir of the God Sin\" and \"ApilIshtar\" would mean, \"Heir of the Goddess Ishtar\".
