I think the judges did a grand job with their selections. Mighty AWAS (pronounced WOZ) is soooo perfect for this event. And I'm pleased to death that Marcus Antonius Caesar *swoon* won second with MOJAX. Vort's Iulius Cheezer is funny as hell too.

LOL - I loved the suggestions for this contest. While we're whipping up some nifty-looking prizes, I'm glad to announce the winners, with kudoes to all for creativity!

FIRST PLACE - Jacques Elliott Cruithni came up with MIGHTY AWAS ("Mighty Mouse"?), a mixture of AW and AS, with "WOZ" for short. This was irresistable. Good work!

SECOND PLACE - Marcus Antonius Caesar came up with MOJAX, a mixture of the hero, Ajax, and MO for MOUSE. Well done!

Simply add AW to AS and you have it. I think you could pronounce the name as "A" "Woz". And if a strong antecedent sir name is desirable how about "Mighty" as in "Mighty Awas"? A direct referrence to Mighty Mouse. Much like how AS/AW started out small and grew to become mighty. Alternatively if a more diminutive name form is desired, how about "Little Awas", a simile to Stuart Little? This would suggest the "Can Do" attitude seen in the animated Stuart Little mouse character of the now well known family movie.

The name is a mixture of mouse and Ajax. In the picture our little mascot looks quite fierce. Certainly he is good enough to share a part of his name with Ajax. Plus people in the media today love smashing names together like Branjelina, JLO, and Bennifer. Drives me nuts, but if you can't beat 'em join 'em.

Of course, I am loaded with funny names, but most of 'em are old, outdated, funny but goners...Like Siddeus Soddus or Biggus Dickus. You'll still laugh yer @ss off, but it's not original. Men Mice aren't either, like Erastes Fulmen or Lucius Vorenus...Naahh, that dog don't hunt.. ;)
But...WAIT a MINUTE?! How about this guy?? He's not exactly a mouse, yet, he's a rodent and a BITER, too! And no goner! Fresh like good, crisp bread, him!
