( * Titus Pullo Lupus - Mar 16, 2006 - 07:19 )
You brainbags, you did a good job as well! Man, I wish I had your brains, LOL. And no hole, so that nothing would leak out there....Congrats to you all...Macte!
Pullo
Yay! Aelfie, man! You did it!!!
( * Titus Pullo Lupus - Mar 16, 2006 - 07:17 )
Ahae! My drinking partner from the Saxon regions! You defended Caesar! You fought like a damn Ubian! And you surely had a h*ll of a good time! Yay! Congrats on winning, my man! I'm proud of you!!!
Pullo
Ooooh!
( * Aelfwine Scylding - Mar 16, 2006 - 06:04 )
I'm very astonished and happy! Congrats to Leela and IClaudius and all participants, and a big thank you to the creators of the game: you did a superb job and I had a blast!
Err, yeah, a German saving Caesar... Let's put it this way: pretend I'm one of my relatives, those Ubian guards that Titus Pullo is always extolling to me. I just happened in the Senate by chance and saw the commotion... tried to get closer to see what was happening, and tripped on my own feet; the swords of the conspirators broke on my Saxon head, harder than marble! Now this is a countermeasure that wasn't in the cards. :D Now, drinks for everybody! Fedelm, my dear Celtic almost-relative and now rival, have a drink with me. To worthy adversaries! What do I do with all those sestercii? I could rotate my groups every week... but let's face it, I added another plaquette to my entrance, that's the true prize! ALL HAIL TEH SHINY!
Thank You
( * IClaudius Antonius - Mar 16, 2006 - 03:03 )
And a big imperial hand should go to the creators of this unique and well-researched game. This is the kind of activity that makes AW the best place to spend your online time.
Just a suggestion to Aelfwine...
( * Topiltzin Tupac - Mar 16, 2006 - 02:37 )
maybe you should now change your last name to Antonius? So as to fit in with the other winner Antonii? *G*
Leela's awards are showing now!
( * Topiltzin Tupac - Mar 16, 2006 - 02:20 )
Either the bug fixed itself, or Jot fixed it without appearing online; whatever the case, Leela has her award both at her homesite and at the Contest page now.
Also, I noticed that her award on Herky's post didn't show up either, because of a typo in the image tag; I fixed that, and it is showing now properly here.
A slight glitch in the contest engine...
( * Heraklia Aelius - Mar 16, 2006 - 01:23 )
means that, while Aelfwine Scylding and IClaudius Antonius got their well-deserved awards, the third place/bronze medal, to Leela Antonius, isn't showing up. Never fear, Jot will fix the problem - and congratulations to Leela!
Caesar LIVES !!!!!!!
( * Titus Longinus - Mar 16, 2006 - 00:21 )
Attention all of Rome! The Ides have come and gone and now for the FIRST time in living history our favorite Roman Leader Gaius Julius Caesar has survived the IDES Of MARCH. Congratulations go out the many Loyalists that have made this concerted effort to change history as we have all known it to be. The 1st, 2nd , and 3rd place Medal awards will be announced as soon as all judging is finalized. Stay tuned for our winners report. Hail Caesar !!!!!!!
The race is on....
( * Titus Longinus - Mar 11, 2006 - 20:14 )
it's Mark Antony comin round the 1st turn, Cicero is hugging the rail, Brutus is pullin hard to the inside, and Titus Pullo is bringing up the rear. It a stand off, a Mexican Hat Dance, neck and neck down the back straight away. Caesar's two links ahead of the pack and starting to flag. And now for a word from our sponsor......
CONTEST DESCRIPTION AND RULES: ![]() The Assassination of Julius Caesar ![]()
RULES OF THE GAME
I. The aim of this game is to either kill or save Caesar on the Ides of March. To do so, you must answer quizzes correctly, collect clues as to "which" Caesar is the true one, choose a weapon or 'countermeasure' to either kill or save him, and evaluate clues to determine where in Rome he can be found.
You can retake any quiz until you have enough right answers to advance to the
next "clues" page.
V. When you've finished Quiz 7, study the veritas and clue cards. You can deduce which Caesar is the "true" one and where he is. Email the judges the answers to these questions: which Caesar is the right one? Where is he on the Ides of March? What weapon or countermeasure did you choose to kill/save him on the Ides of March?
VI. As soon as you finish the game, but no later than midnight AW time on the Ides of March (3/15/06), email idesofmarchmmvi@gmail.com with the following info:
Julius Caesar: The Last Dictator
Julius Caesar: A Biography in Twelve Parts
