The history of the Celts in Gaul, under Roman domination, is well documented is Caesar's "Di Bellum Gallicum", The War in Gaul.

However, what was life like before the coming of Caesar? What part did the people of the Entremont Oppidium play in the development of the area? There is archaeological evidence that they worked in metals and pottery, and farmed in the valley below the hill. They raised olives and pressed the oil in the village. It is for you, the new citizens of this Celtic neighborhood, to tell their story.
