Vanaheim is home to the race of Gods corresponding to the fertility, prosperity and eroticism. Njord, Freyr and Freya are the most prominent. They tend on the whole to be more gentle and concerned with matters of nature and fertility than the Aesir. After a long war with them, they all exchanged hostages and lived in peace.
