Question: Are the women featured in this section going to be those we look up to only because they did something particularly brave or noble?
Answer: No! Our heroes are women from all walks of life and cultures throughout Ancient Asia whom we consider not only central figures in an event or a period, but women who helped build their societies by theirlabour . They are "heroic" because of their abilities, achievements or qualities that helped define the age in which they lived.
