“The scimitar and a single or double-headed lion scepter were attributed to Nergal. It has to be this door.” You trust the Professor and lead the way down the stairs. The next chamber is large, with a high ceiling. It reminds you of an enclosed football stadium it is so large and oblong. Mister Crabtree sniffs a stone pot to the right and grins. “Watch this!” he says. You just about punch him out for acting before thinking, when he touches the flames from his torch to a spot below the pot. Suddenly, it the flames race down a trough and around the room. It’s illuminated for everyone to see. There are many frightening, stone statues lining the walls. Some are large enough that their heads brush the ceiling.

“Nobody, and I mean nobody,” you glare at Mr. Crabtree, “touch anything.” Dr. Moony nods his head in agreement as he makes his way to the center of the room. There is a large, three sided structure. It looks to be some sort of temple. On each door, you see some beasts you recognize. It seems to be a list of the ones you’ve come across in varying orders.

“Welcome, brave one to the Erkalla.” The Professor’s voice suddenly booms as he reads the inscription on the temple. Many jump from the sudden sound of his voice. “You have done well and fought your way to the sanctuary of Nergal. The Great God of the Great Below. Choose the correct door and Nergal shall reward you. Choose unwisely and you shall be devoured by his beasts.” Dr. Moony looks up and beams. “Well, that is simple enough. We just have to choose the door with the correct order of beasts.”
