The chapel next to Horus is the only one with a door leading into the inner parts of the temple. This is the Chapel of Osiris, whom we have already featured. All the doors of the other chapels were closed by Ramesses II, the son of Seti, and the reason why he dod so is unknown.
After the chapel of Osiris, comes the chapel of Amun-Re. Seti I wanted to honor the nationwide deity with a center of worship at the mighty Ipet Isut (Karnak), just as he wanted to include Ptah of Men Nefer and Re-Horakhety of Iunu (Heliopolis).
