Acta Orbis Romani - News of the Roman World
Dear Romans,
As you can see, the Roman Page has undergone a few slight changes, both in content and in looks. We hope you will all like this new approach. This page is the co-work effort of Publius Fabius Scipio, Calpurnia Caesar and myself. If you have something to contribute to the Roman Page in the future, please let us know through gram, message or email.
New Scribes in Rome!
Rome warmheartedly welcomes her new Scribes into the Roman World! Laurels Curius, Maria Marius and Publius Fabius Scipio have been appointed by the divine forces to govern our world, keep it running and make it even better with the diligence and organisational talent which marks a true Roman. You have all our best wishes!
Io Saturnalia!
It's getting near to that time of year again where Romans don strange hats and make merry. Saturnalia is the Roman holiday marking the winter solstice; friends and family members exchange gifts, throw banquets and enjoy other celebrations. This year Saturnalia is planned for December 17th to the 22nd and presently has two main themes, the unbinding of Saturn and celebrating great military victories throughout Rome's history. Two quizzes are already in the works, several great event ideas are being worked on and if you pop into the Saturnalia 2005 planning thread you'll see Senex has already revived his popular advent calender! Come join in the planning stages now, or just mark it on your calender and join in the fun come December.
