EXCELLENT! YOU FOUND ANOTHER CELTIC TREASURE!
After a thorough search of the Temple, the Furnace, and the Oil Press, you finally find a lump of misshapen stone near the north wall of the Oppidum. After cleaning off the accumulated grime, it appears to be a hand which is gripping a head. Well now! This is quite a find! I should tell you that the Celts were collectors of heads… mainly those of the enemy. However, in some cases, they also kept the heads of friends, wise men and leaders. There are a number of old tales about keeping one of these heads around and, from time to time, asking it for advice. This may be another reason the Greeks and Romans considered the Celts to be barbarians.
You’re off to a good start. Now, you’d best hurry back to the boat! I see that the captain has finished his business with the local tribes and is about ready to depart. The Greeks came here to trade for salt, which was gathered from the edges of the salt marshes, just to the west of here. I believe his next stop will be Lugdunum, which will be your next chance to hunt for more artifacts.
GO TO LUGDUNUM
