Toadflax (Linaria vulgaris) is also known as Snapdragon, Devil's Head, Monkey Flower, Flaxweed, Churnstaff, Dragonbush, Brideweed, just to name a few of its strange nomikers. A cooling ointment can be made from the fresh plant. Just chopped and boil the whole plant in lard till crispy, then strain off the fat. You'll have a nice green salve that is good for piles, ulcers, and all types of rashes or skin conditions.
