Common Fleabane (Pulicaria dysenterica) has a soapy scent that when strewn or burned, repels fleas and other insects. This plant has many other useful applications. It was commonly used for dysentry. As tea, it is good for colds and other respiratory ailments because of its anti-inflammatory, fever reducing and antibacterial properties. It can stop minor hemorrhages, and is especially effective for nosebleeds.
