Cure for ElfShot
ELFSHOT
Livestock or humans shot by an elfshot dart sicken or die, or are carried away to Faery. Hunters are a favorite target because they kill deer, on the milk of which fairies live. Elf shots can also cure illness if rubbed on wounds or water is drunk in which the arrowhead was soaked. Remedy: Dead Red Nettle ![]() image 144240 The Dead-Nettle (Lamium purpureum) is not related to the Stinging Nettle. It is in the same family as Mint. It doesn't "sting" and that's why it's a remedy for elf-shot. Bees and butterflies love the pretty purple flowers which bloom all summer, which make a tasty honey. Freshly bruised leaves can be soothingly applied to external cuts and wounds. A decoction is useful to stop hemmorhage. When brewed in tea, dead red nettle is a good overall tonic. |
