Dream Destinations: The Chinese Dragon Boat Festival
Wouldn't it be lots of fun to go to a Dragon Boat race? Duan Wu Jie, the rice dumpling festival, is celebrated all over China during June in honor of the Warring States era poet Qu Yuan, who drowned himself in the Miluo River in 278 BC, in protest of governmental corruption. The official food of this festival is Zhongi - sticky rice dumplings.
