Beltaine Blowout
One of the greatest things about festivals is the opportunity to meet new people. This Beltaine was definitely no exception as we met one of Celtia's newest patrons, Rowenna Brigantes. Not only did she help contribute four excellent articles to the Megalith Tour, three on the Bohemian megaliths and one on the Hochdorf passage graves, but had even wrote more that Vortigern forgot to add. One on The Rock of the Faires Dolmen, and The Cham of Bondons Menhirs. They will be added to the tour, so keep an eye out. She also wrote a beautiful Breton Lai that won her first place with Short Breton Lais. We are extremly lucky to have Rowenna here in Celtia, which is why she is our Featured member of May.
Armorica Tour Celtia was excited to unveil yet another hood this Beltaine, Armorica. You still have a chance to take the tour, and find out why it is called Armor, "the land by the sea" and not Argoat, "the wooded land". The entire region has a coast touching it, and it is easy to see why these Celts by the sea have such a strong tradition that one can see still to this day. As you journey along this informative and beautiful tour, you will find out about daily life of the Ancient Celts, as well as maritime facts about our own Venetii tribe. It was an amazing and well detailed tour, worthy of a Best Places of Ancient Worlds. |
